Complete year-end GST reconciliation and GSTR-9 filing with full audit support
Last reviewed:
At the end of each year, every GST business must file GSTR-9 showing the whole year of business. It reconciles all monthly filings with your actual bank statements and books. We prepare this complete return for you. We check every transaction, match numbers, and file before December 31 deadline.
GSTR-9 is your business's truthful statement to government. It matches your income statement and balance sheet. If monthly returns had errors, GSTR-9 finds and fixes them. If you had large credits or claims, GSTR-9 supports them. This is where your business comes together.
Filing GSTR-9 on time shows the tax department you are organized. It makes audits easier. If someone questions your GST later, you have proof everything was filed correctly. We prepare GSTR-9, arrange audit if needed, and file before year-end. You get a clean annual closure.
Missing the GSTR-9 deadline of December 31 costs you Rs 200 per day, split as Rs 100 CGST and Rs 100 SGST. This penalty can go up to 0.50% of your turnover in the state. For a business doing Rs 1 crore turnover, that could mean up to Rs 50,000 in late fees alone. There is no waiver or reduction once the penalty applies.
Once GSTR-9 is filed, save the acknowledgment safely. Compare it with your income tax return numbers to make sure they match. If there are differences between your GST annual return and your ITR, the tax department may send you a notice. We help you cross-check both filings so everything lines up properly.
Businesses across India file GSTR-9 fully online. Wherever your shop or office is located, you do not need to visit any government office. Send us your documents and we handle everything from our end.

Regular GST taxpayers with turnover above ₹2 crore must file GSTR-9. If below ₹2 crore, filing is optional but recommended. Composition taxpayers above ₹1 crore must file GSTR-9A.
GSTR-9 must be filed by December 31 of the next financial year. Filing after December 31 attracts penalties. We file well before this date.
You are exempt from GSTR-9 filing. But filing it shows good compliance. It also helps if you are applying for loans or investment. We recommend filing even if not required.
Composition taxpayers with turnover above ₹1 crore file GSTR-9A instead of GSTR-9. It is simpler and shows your composition tax payments for the year.
We find errors during reconciliation and file amendments for those months. Once amendments are approved, we file GSTR-9 with corrected data.
Audit is required if your turnover exceeds ₹2 crore. If below, audit is optional but we recommend it for large ITC claims or complex transactions.
You are liable for penalties up to ₹10,000. If turnover is above ₹2 crore, absence of GSTR-9 raises red flags. Tax department can demand explanation.
You can file amended GSTR-9 within the financial year. We charge ₹999 for amendments. Best to get it right the first time through careful reconciliation.
The late fee is Rs 200 per day (Rs 100 CGST + Rs 100 SGST). It can go up to 0.50% of your turnover in the state. For a business with Rs 50 lakh turnover, that is up to Rs 25,000. There is no waiver once the deadline passes.
Save the acknowledgment receipt. Cross-check the annual figures with your income tax return to make sure they match. If you have pending ITC claims, follow up on them before the next financial year closes. We send you a reconciliation summary for your records.
GSTR-9 is the annual return showing your year's sales, purchases, and tax paid. GSTR-9C is a reconciliation statement that compares GSTR-9 with your audited financial statements. GSTR-9C is needed if your turnover exceeds ₹5 crore.
